Who we are

Our website address is: https://tuneshare.onscreen.website. TUNESHARE is a free platform where independent electronic music creators submit tracks and listen to community playlists in exchange for participation.

Membership & Registration

TUNESHARE is invite-only. To apply, visitors submit an application form including a Spotify track link and contact details, which we review manually. If approved, we send a private registration link. When you register, we collect your username, email address, and any profile information you choose to provide. You can edit your email on the account page and certain profile fields on your profile page. The account page also offers a Delete Account option. Your username cannot be changed there. After a successful account deletion, TUNESHARE removes your stored listening and TAP history, owned tracks, playlist placement records, track requests and form entries linked to your account. This does not automatically remove tracks from Spotify; playlist cleanup is handled manually. Applications submitted while logged out, backups and records held by external services may require separate review. Contact us to request an export or erasure review. Administrators can also view and edit this information for moderation purposes.

Track Submissions

ACTIVE STAR or ACTIVE MEGASTAR members with available track capacity may submit tracks via our submission form, including a Spotify track URL and related details. Submitted links are reviewed manually by the site administrator before inclusion in any playlist.

Last.fm Integration

To calculate TAP, TUNESHARE stores the Last.fm username you enter in your profile and periodically reads your public scrobbles (tracks and listening times) through Last.fm’s API using the site’s API key. We do not request your Last.fm password or a separate authorization to your Last.fm account. To stop future polling, open your TUNESHARE profile, choose Edit Profile, clear the Last.fm Username field and save with Update Profile. You can also ask the site administrator to remove that field. Removing the username stops new Last.fm polling for your account; it does not erase listening or TAP records already stored by TUNESHARE.

Cookies

If you log in, we set cookies to keep you logged in and remember your display preferences. Login cookies last two days (two weeks if you select “Remember Me”); screen option cookies last one year. If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie checks whether your browser accepts cookies — it contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Comments

Comments are currently disabled site-wide.

Media

If you upload images (e.g. artist photos or artwork) to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as this data could be extracted by other visitors.

Embedded Content

Pages on this site may include embedded content, such as Spotify playlist embeds. Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you visited that website directly — these third parties may collect data, use cookies, and track your interaction with the embedded content, especially if you’re logged into their service.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Services used to run TUNESHARE include our website hosting and email delivery providers, Last.fm (for scrobble/listening data), Spotify (where you interact with embedded playlists) and Google Analytics through Site Kit (for website usage measurement). Google Analytics may process information about pages visited, browser and device characteristics, and interactions with the site. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

We keep account information while your account is active. On successful account deletion, TUNESHARE removes your account-linked listening and TAP history, owned tracks, placements, track requests and linked form entries. Some operational records may remain after references to your account are removed. Guest applications, backups and data held by external services require separate consideration. Contact us to request an export or erasure review.

Your Rights

If you have an account with us, you can request an export of the personal data we hold about you, or request that we erase it. Email tuneshareonscreen@gmail.com to make either request. This does not include data we are legally obliged to retain.
